Panther ™ VSAT terminal from L-3 GCS provides high-speed data communications for the Internet, connectivity VPN and video streaming. This extremely robust VSAT manpack terminal is lightweight, highly portable and offers similar simplicity to Inmarsat BGAN, but with significantly higher data rates than commercial satellites and military.
The standard manpack terminal is offered with a built-in iDirect Evolution iConnex e850mp modem with DVB-S2 and TDMA return channel. The modem incorporates an Adaptive Code Modulation (ACM), which enables high data transmission and flexibility in areas of impaired satellite coverage. Panther ™ integrates a Stylish but simple manual antenna orientation method using intuitive visual indicators.
